Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM CDT
Event Description:
The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma will hold a public meeting on Monday, October 22, 2018 to discuss the planned activity that will occur as part of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Integration Pilot Program (IPP).   The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma was one of 10 tribal, state and local governments selected in the United States by U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao to help foster innovation and advance the safe integration of UAS (drones) into our nation’s airspace. The initial activity under the Choctaw Nation IPP program will occur over remote tribally-owned land south of McAlester and east of Stringtown.  This activity will be focused on important rural and agricultural applications.   A vital part of the UAS IPP is to reach out to stakeholders to obtain feedback from the community, such as the pros and cons of the proposed operations
